Working hours: 25 hours per week (Including alternative Saturdays)Interview Date: Week commencing 11th May 2026We are looking for an excellent manager who can motivate and work alongside our volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of our charity shop. With experience of working in a shop and cash handling, you will bring plenty of ideas on how to encourage the public to donate good quality items, and to maximise sales. You will need excellent communication skills in order to help meet the needs of our customers and to ensure that you are supporting the wider work of the Salvation Army in the community.The successful candidates will be able to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army.Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the daily running of the shop, creating a culture of excellent customer service within the shop to maximise sales and providing an attraction shop. You will lead and manage a team of employees and/or volunteers to ensure that the shop achieves its objectives. You will establish and maintain networks with both colleagues and external agencies to enhance the delivery of the shops activities, raising awareness and understanding of Local charity objectives of the shop.
