Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Work Team Manager to join our Family Help service in the Child Protection Enquiry Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children, young people, and families across Birmingham. Our mission is to deliver excellent social work and family support services for the city’s most vulnerable children and families. Every member of our team plays a vital role in achieving our vision. As Social Work Team Manager, you will: Lead a multidisciplinary district team including Lead Practitioners and Practice Supervisors. Provide operational leadership and set high standards of practice and customer care. Ensure delivery of child-centred services that comply with legal and statutory guidance. Champion safeguarding and promote the welfare of children and young people. Drive performance and quality assurance through reflective supervision and evidence-based auditing. Collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen local service delivery. Embed the Trust’s practice model, Connections Count, in everyday team practice. Manage budgets effectively and ensure value for money. Our offer to you: In addition to the salary offered, there is an incentive payment of £1,000 Retention payment of up to £5,000 per annum, subject to tax and NI deductions - T&C's will apply. A generous annual leave package of 30 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, rising to 33 days after 5 years of service and 35 days after 10 years of service. Free on-site parking. Full reimbursement of your annual Social Work England registration fee Flexible and mobile working policy - we are well adapted to a hybrid model of working which includes a combination of time spent in the office and at home.
