Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Parts Supervisor role based at the Altrincham depot. The Parts Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the parts department, including stock control, ordering, goods‑in processing, and accurate inventory recording. The role involves supervising and supporting the parts team, planning workloads, monitoring performance, and ensuring that customer and internal service levels are consistently met. The Parts Supervisor will work closely with service and sales colleagues to identify parts requirements, prepare quotations, and process orders efficiently. Daily responsibilities also include delivering excellent customer service at the counter and by phone, resolving queries, maintaining a safe and tidy workplace, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Strong supervisory skills, with experience leading, motivating, and developing a team in a parts, service, or similar environment.
* Proven customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, handle queries professionally, and resolve issues promptly.
* Experience in training team members, sharing best practices, and supporting skills development.
* Background in sales or parts sales, with the ability to identify opportunities, prepare quotations, and meet departmental targets.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems, with accurate data entry and reporting capabilities.
* Previous experience in the construction, agricultural, automotive, or heavy plant sector (JCB or similar brands advantageous).
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across departments.
* Full UK driving licence preferred and flexibility to support operational needs when required.
