Set within 28 acres in the Dorset countryside, the school offers a unique environment with excellent facilities including a theatre, sports hall, swimming pool, riding areas, climbing wall, and multiple safe play spaces.
Students follow a differentiated National Curriculum supported by a proven programme of specialist education, 24-hour care, and a wide range of clinical and therapeutic input.
We are seeking compassionate and resilient Support Workers to provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students access learning, develop independence, and manage behaviours that may challenge.
You will work closely within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting non-verbal students, assisting with communication strategies (e.g.
PECS/Makaton), and contributing to personalised learning and care plans.
The role includes supporting personal and intimate care where required.
With small class sizes (typically 6 students supported by a teacher and at least two teaching assistants) and high staffing ratios, you will be able to deliver intensive, individualised support.
Each student also has a keyworker to oversee their care, welfare, safety, and development.
Candidates should be patient, adaptable, and confident managing challenging behaviour, with a strong team-focused approach. xxuwjjq
