Overview
A growing Lloyd’s market insurer is looking to hire an experienced Senior SQL Developer to support the continued expansion of their data function.
With a strong existing team in place across Power BI and Lloyd’s expertise, this hire is focused on scaling capability within the Data Warehouse (DWH) team due to increasing demand and project volume.
This role will play a key part in delivering high-quality data solutions across ETL, reporting, and data reconciliation, with a strong emphasis on SQL development within an Azure environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and optimise SQL-based solutions within an Azure SQL environment
* Support and enhance the Data Warehouse (DWH) to meet growing business requirements
* Design and implement ETL pipelines and data integration processes
* Deliver and support reporting solutions, including Power BI outputs
* Perform and manage data reconciliations, ensuring accuracy across systems
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the Lloyd’s business to deliver data-driven insights
* Contribute to long-term data strategy and platform scalability
Key Requirements
* Strong experience in SQL Development (core focus of the role)
* Proven background working within the Lloyd’s / London Market insurance space (essential)
* Solid experience with:
* ETL processes
* Data Warehousing (DWH)
* Reporting (Power BI)
* Experience working with Azure SQL
* Strong understanding of data reconciliation processes
* Ideally 5–15+ years’ experience in data-focused roles
* Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with increasing data demands
