Electrician – Fortem Solutions
Permanent role on the Birmingham contract with the Damp & Mould team. Reporting to the Damp & Mould Supervisor. Core hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
About the role
The successful candidate will carry out all aspects of maintenance and repairs on electrical engineering services. Work will be undertaken to a high standard with minimal supervision. The focus is on “First‑time fix”, remaining within budget and time parameters.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Install, service and maintain electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the IET Wiring Regulations.
* Install, repair, inspect and test electrical installations and correctly complete the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report.
* Carry out EICRs and remedial upgrades to properties.
* Complete reactive maintenance work as per the specification.
* Advise Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required.
* Work with other operatives to complete projects.
* Complete daily worksheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job.
* Provide excellent customer service to both tenants and clients.
Essential Criteria
* Part 1 & 2 Electrotechnical Competences (C&G 2360) plus NVQ 3 Certificate 2356 with Technical Certs L2 & L3.
* C&G 18th Edition Certificate.
* Full UK driving licence (maximum 5 points).
Desirable
* Unvented Hot Water Certificate / Water Regulations Certificate Part P.
* JIPB H&S Test Certificate with current JIBP card.
* Testing & Inspecting Certificate C&G 2377.
* PAT Certificate.
