Due to expansion, one of YT Technologies key clients are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their thriving Engineering business.
Your role will involve:
Diagnose and resolve manufacturing issues through effective corrective actions, using data analysis to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
Design and optimise workstation layouts, identify and implement process and capacity improvements, and scope, source, and deliver new manufacturing equipment.
Use CAD/CAM to design and manufacture fixtures or tooling, and run trials with new tools, machines, and processes to validate performance.
Work with suppliers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production targets.
Provide feedback to improve product design for manufacturability
Manage small-scale road-map projects, including planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication, and document processes, trials, and improvements to ensure repeatability.
Essential Requirements
Relevant engineering degree with 3 years+ experience or relevant formal qualifications (e.g NVQ level 5) with 5+ years experience.
Demonstrates the ability to identify improvement opportunities, define them as viable projects, execute them efficiently, and implement stable solutions.
Capable of accurately diagnosing process issues, determining root causes, applying effective corrective actions, and ensuring problems do not reoccur.
Ability to quickly understand technical issues, communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and produce clear, well-structured documentation that supports knowledge sharing.
Track record of leading small to medium impact projects.
Proficient in using a CAD package.
Ability to understand Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning.
Good understanding of manufacturing capability by process.
Great digital skills, including high computer literacy and familiarity with Office 365 and databases.
