In a nutshell
Would you rather spend a weekend camping rather that stay in a city centre hotel?
Maybe you grew up on a farm or you love being in the countryside?
Would you choose wellies and a gilet over formal office wear?
If you're more drawn to the rural options above, this is a great chance for you to specialise in the agri sector (if you haven't already) and build a fulfilling and rewarding career.
This is a bigger role compared to smaller firms, you will have more responsibilities and variety within your day.
Long term, you'll receive ongoing support to progress to a manager, director even up to partner level (if this is part of your career plan) with structured leadership programmes that have proven to be successful over many years from our in-house Learning & Development team.
Last year we had 10 internal partner promotions!
Evenings and weekends will be yours again - as we are one of the UK's Best Workplaces for Wellbeing by Great Place to Work and ensure that our employees have a good work/life balance.
What you'll be doing day to day
You'll be working with entrepreneurial agricultural clients who have diversified their farming business to cider farms, wedding venues, ice cream parlous and other interesting enterprises.
Some days will include networking at county roadshows, farm walks or local cattle markets. Sharing knowledge and catching up with other rural teams across our southwest offices will form part of a normal working week.
About you
You'll be an ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified accountant, or AAT qualified with years of relevant experience.
Rolling your sleeves up to get the job done is just what you do.
Come join a team that is proud to work with a dedicated industry, that grafts tirelessly all year round to feed our nation.
Don't worry if you don't have an up-to-date CV, feel free to email me - carrie.macdonald@pkf-francisclark.co.uk to arrange an informal chat.
