* Flexible Shifts: Work 12-hour shifts, 3 to 4 days a week.
* Night Shift Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Utilizing a forklift to transport products to designated lines within the plant.
* Moving, retrieving, and emptying hoppers throughout the facility.
* Adhering to all safety procedures and maintaining a clean workspace.
* Performing job duties according to established work instructions and procedures.
* Conducting quality checks related to line operations.
* Using manufacturing data systems for basic shop floor functions.
* Responding to process control alarms to maintain operational efficiency.
* Disposing of non-conforming products based on established criteria.
* Coordinating training sessions for new hires in the department.
* Identifying opportunities for departmental improvement.
* Assisting with changeovers, productivity, and scrap management.
* Participating in plant meetings and contributing to team discussions.
What We’re Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Previous experience in a recycling facility (preferred).
* A strong commitment to safety and quality.
* The ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
* Experience driving a forklift.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This role involves:
* Lifting requirements of 0 - 50 lbs, with constant lifting/moving of up to 15 lbs.
* Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for up to 12 hours a day.
* Exposure to high levels of noise, recyclable debris, and odors.
* Visual examination of minute defects in parts and products.
* Physical activities including reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, and climbing.
* Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye, ear, head, and toe protection, along with a high-visibility safety vest.
