Engineering Lead – Hospitality SaaS (TypeScript)

Salary: £85,000 to £95,000

Our client is a rapidly growing SaaS provider within the hospitality technology space. Their platform enables hotels and resorts to manage and monetise their entire inventory including rooms, golf, spa, dining, and other guest experiences through a unified suite of products.
Operating across four international markets, their solution covers everything from reservations, ecommerce, and table management to PMS integrations and payment processing, helping properties streamline operations and enhance guest engagement.
Role Overview
This role is focused on delivering high-quality backend integrations that power a complex, API-driven ecosystem connecting supply, inventory, and booking systems across the hospitality stack.
You will lead a team of talented engineers, set the technical direction, and ensure the delivery of scalable, reliable integrations that support a global SaaS platform.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and line manage a team of around four engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Define and drive the technical strategy for backend integrations and APIs across the platform.
• Oversee delivery of integrations with PMS, booking, and inventory management systems (rooms, golf, dining, spa, etc.).
• Collaborate closely with product and wider engineering teams to design scalable and secure solutions.
• Ensure engineering best practices are followed in development, testing, and deployment.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills / Experience
• Strong background in backend engineering and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, Next.js, and NestJS.
• Experience working with APIs, microservices, and system integrations in SaaS environments.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Ability to architect scalable, reliable, and secure integration solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advantageous: Previous experience in hospitality tech or with property or resort management systems (PMS, POS, or booking platforms).
