We are seeking a resilient, proactive and compassionate Youth Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant to work within supportive secondary schools and specialist provisions across Harrow.

The Role
As a Youth Worker / SEN TA, you will:
• Support students aged 11–16 with additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties
• Provide 1:1 and small group intervention support, focusing on emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
• Build positive, trusting relationships with vulnerable learners
• Implement behaviour support plans and contribute to EHCP targets
• De-escalate challenging situations using restorative approaches
• Support students both inside and outside the classroom to re-engage them in learning
• Liaise with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to ensure consistent support
• Promote attendance, resilience and positive social development

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
• Has previous experience as a Youth Worker, Behaviour Mentor or SEN TA
• Has worked with young people with challenging behaviour or additional needs
• Is calm under pressure and confident managing difficult situations
• Demonstrates strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Is passionate about inclusion and safeguarding
• Has a genuine interest in progressing within education, psychology or youth support
Team Teach training or similar behaviour management training is desirable but not essential.
