Senior Procurement Analyst

The three Partner Trusts have set an objective of creating a single procurement function to support sustainable provision of clinical and non‑clinical services. A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply‑chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend to other bodies within the Integrated Care System.
As a Senior Procurement Analyst across all Partner Trusts you will be a credible analyst providing data‑driven advice and guidance to clinical and corporate colleagues. You will act as a trusted data professional encouraging collaboration between Care Groups and Procurement across all Partner Trusts to maximise procurement and commercial outcomes for the patients in our care.
Through the agreed policies and procedures you will support the Procurement and Supply Chain teams in identifying opportunities for cost improvement using commercial data held across the Partner Trusts. Working independently within policies you will undertake a range of analysis activity and have the ability to raise any concerns where required.
Main duties of the job
Ensure IM&T information is processed in accordance with policies and procedures and investigate enquiries and queries from stakeholders, providing assistance and advice as required. This will include end‑users, suppliers and the procurement team, giving advice on system use and policy to ensure consistency. Adapt software, create information reports, maintain a range of software and interpret datasets to support the analysis of spend data. Provide training to Procurement and non‑procurement colleagues across the Trust to ensure systems are being used correctly.
Manage the performance of 1‑2 Systems Managers and actively support them in meeting their own development needs and aspirations.
Job responsibilities

Identify opportunities for cost improvement using commercial data and support Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
Investigate enquiries and queries, provide assistance, adapt software and maintain information reports.
Train Procurement and non‑procurement colleagues and manage Systems Managers.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Expertise within procurement specialism underpinned by theory in system use across procurement.
* Knowledge of IM&T areas acquired through a degree or equivalent level or relevant experience.
* Additional specialist knowledge in data management obtained via further training or equivalent experience.
Experience
* Experience in managing large and varied data sets.
* Experience of identifying monetary savings and innovative ways of working using data.
* Knowledge and experience of performance measurement.
* Knowledge of risk assessment and contingency planning.
* NHS experience.
* Experience of using e‑commerce processes and systems to suit service needs.
