Maintenance Planner - Contract - Duration: Upto the end of 2026 - Potential for some flexible working
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support ongoing maintenance activities for a process industry client.
This role will focus on planning and coordinating mechanical maintenance works within a live operational environment, ensuring structured scheduling, effective resource management, and minimal disruption to plant operations.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating detailed mechanical maintenance schedules, working closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure all tasks are accurately planned and properly resourced.
This is a key position supporting plant reliability and performance through structured maintenance planning and effective programme management.
Responsibilities
Input and manage maintenance data from spreadsheets into Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project programmes
Develop, update, and maintain structured mechanical maintenance schedules
Assist with resource planning and allocation to optimise workforce utilisation
Monitor progress of mechanical works and update programmes in line with site activity
Liaise with mechanical engineers, supervisors, and operations teams to gather accurate planning information
Support reporting processes and maintain programme accuracy and data integrityRequirements
Proven experience using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
Strong Excel and data management capability
Mechanical maintenance experience, or strong mechanical understanding within a process or industrial environment
Experience coordinating resources within a live plant setting
