A well-established, highly reputable manufacturing company in Glenrothes is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 5 Design Engineers and play a key role in the senior management team.

The role – what you’ll be doing
* Lead, coach and develop a team of 5 design engineers, setting objectives, managing workload and driving a high-performance, collaborative culture.
* Own the design-to-manufacture process – from models, drawings, BOMs and routings through to production engineering support, ensuring products are delivered right first time and on time.
* Act as the technical link between Engineering, Sales, Production, Purchasing and Quality, turning customer requirements and performance data into robust, manufacturable solutions.
* Drive change, compliance and continuous improvement, managing design changes, ensuring regulatory standards are met and using testing/prototype data and shop-floor feedback to improve quality, cost and lead times.
* Plan and manage engineering resources and budgets, contributing as part of the senior management team to support growth, profitability and long-term strategy.
About you
* Proven Engineering Manager (or similar) with minimum 3 years in a leadership role, ideally leading design/engineering teams.
* Strong technical background from a complex / high-variation manufacturing environment.
* Confident people leader – able to motivate, mentor and develop engineers while holding clear standards.
* Comfortable working cross-functionally and representing Engineering at senior level.
