We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, drainage company based in Wisbech. With a strong reputation for quality and service across domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors, our client is looking to grow their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Vacuum Tanker Operator & Drainage Engineer to join a supportive, hands-on environment with long-term career potential.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on position, split between:
1. Operating HGV Vacuum Tanker equipment (26T) within the waste and drainage sector.
2. Operating Van-Pack Jetter’s for drainage maintenance, clearance, and cleaning.
The successful candidate will work closely with a skilled team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality drainage services.
Key Responsibilities
3. Operate HGV Vacuum Tankers and associated drainage equipment safely and efficiently.
4. Perform drain jetting, clearance, and waste removal tasks on domestic, commercial, and industrial sites.
5. Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
6. Ensure all job sheets, records, and reports are completed accurately and submitted on time.
7. Assist with confined space entry operations where required, following strict safety protocols.
8. Work collaboratively with the team to identify and resolve issues on site.
9. Uphold the company’s professional image and ensure excellent customer service at all times.
10. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency.
11. Comply with all health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
Requirements
12. Valid Category C (HGV) licence with current CPC qualification.
13. Minimum 3 years’ experience (required for fleet insurance).
14. Experience operating vacuum tankers
15. Must live within 20 miles of PE13 and be able to commute to Wisbech.
16. Jetting experience beneficial, but training can be provided for the right candidate
