Pay Rate: £36.00 LTD per hour or £28.63 PAYE

About the Role: Lancashire County Council is seeking a committed and experienced Family Safeguarding Social Worker to join our Fylde Coast team, based in Fleetwood and covering the Fylde and Wyre area.
You will play a crucial role in achieving the best outcomes for children and young people, ensuring they are safe, protected from harm, and supported through early intervention and relationship-based social work.

Key Responsibilities
* Undertake social work assessments and direct work with children and families.
* Deliver timely, strengths-based interventions that promote stability and safety.
* Work within the Family Safeguarding model alongside multi-agency partners to coordinate and deliver targeted support.
* Support children and families through a collaborative approach to risk reduction and long-term change.
* Maintain clear, analytical, and well-documented case records in line with statutory requirements.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England.
* Proven experience in safeguarding and child protection work.
* Sound understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., Children Act 1989/2004).
* Excellent assessment, engagement, and decision-making skills.
* Commitment to promoting positive outcomes through integrated working.
Desirable:
* Experience working within the Family Safeguarding model.
* Strong multi-agency working and confident in managing complex cases.
