Our client is a leading provider of IT-managed services, onsite support, and field engineering to the Education sector. With a growing portfolio of public and private schools, multi-academy trusts, colleges, and universities, they have secured numerous contracts and newly built school projects, leading to a need for a dedicated IT Project Manager. As an IT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of IT solutions, spanning server, storage, network, wireless, audio & and visual, IT, and security projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that these projects meet the specific requirements of both educational and commercial customers. You will be heavily involved in the delivery of projects on construction and other sites from start to finish. Additionally, this dynamic role involves extensive travel acr oss the United Kingdom to customer sites, where you will personally oversee and ensure the proper installation of networks. Your commitment to on-site involvement ensures that the implementation of infrastructure solutions aligns with industry standards and best practices. Responsibilities: Oversee the delivery management of multiple projects from inception to completion. Maintain effective communication with project coordinators, internal teams, clients, and third parties to ensure projects align with their respective plans. Attend customer meetings and present IT infrastructure designs to key stakeholders. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans. Identify and manage project variations. Coordinate and schedule resources and materials. Assist the project team in onboarding new clients. Manage on-site project delivery, overseeing multiple teams and maintaining stakeholder relationships to meet project objectives. Keep project systems and documentation up to date. Generate reports on project delivery KPIs for management. Strict adherence to company, Health and Safety, Information, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures at all times. Skills and Requirements: Proven experience in a project delivery role and team management. Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure, including Networking, Servers, and Storage. Experience working on construction projects is desirable. Experience working within the education sector is a plus. Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both in remote interactions and face-to-face meetings. Ability to engage professionally and consistently deliver an exceptional client experience. Proficiency with MS Office and competent IT skills are a necessity. Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites nationwide and work away from the primary location as needed.
