Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care and support tailored to their unique needs.
Duties
* Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure safety and well-being.
* Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and cooking.
* Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization.
* Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans.
* Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and autism through direct support.
* Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
* Conduct vital sign checks and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate personnel.
* Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is preferred.
* Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus.
* Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality.
* Experience working with individuals who have disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for patient mobility assistance.
* A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
