I am on the lookout for an experienced "Building Surveyor" with small project management experience to join a boutique consultancy with offices based out of Plymouth. A local 'powerhouse' of the South West, they offer project management, cost consulting, and building surveying services to their clients. Currently managing a portfolio exceeding £500 million in projects nationwide. These projects span various sectors, including mixed-use developments, assisted living facilities, healthcare, residential, and commercial ventures.

The Opportunity
The successful "Building Surveyor" will be responsible for projects from award, with the regional Directors taking the heavy lifting for work winning. Key duties include:
Active involvement in the procurement, design and delivery of new build and refurbishment projects including mixed use, industrial, residential and commercial schemes
Supporting Junior staff in their professional development
Advising clients on programme, cost and procurement implications of projects for both public and private sector clients
Attending client facing meetings in which professional advice is provided
Procuring and managing multi-disciplinary consultant teams
Involvement in the project delivery process from inception to completion
Good working understanding of building technology, compliance/Building Regulations and defect diagnosis The Ideal Candidate
Minimum 3 years post graduate experience
MRICS qualified or willing to work towards Chartered status
Solid, professional "Building Surveying" background with some small project management experience.
