Year 1 Class Teacher - Fixed Term Contract (January to July 2026)
Salary: Up to £42,000 FTE
We are delighted to be supporting a highly respected independent preparatory school in North London in their search for an experienced Year 1 Class Teacher to cover maternity leave from January to July 2026. Role
* Lead a small Year 1 class of 15 pupils
* Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the school's ethos of excellence and care
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold high standards of teaching and learning
* Fixed-term contract from January to July 2026
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - this role is not suitable for ECTs
* Previous UK teaching experience
* Strong knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum and effective classroom practice
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
* A positive, engaging approach with the ability to inspire and support young learners
