Dream Medical is working with a busy surgery in Accrington. As a teaching and training practice, we are looking for an experienced practice nurse to start immediately.
This surgery strives to create a healthy team atmosphere and encourages staff to meet at lunchtime, attend practice meetings, and participate in social events. We are seeking a team player passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
Candidates must have a current NMC registration and experience working within a GP surgery. Flexibility to cover early mornings or evenings is essential.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Providing high-quality patient care
• Participating in setting standards for care and auditing clinical outcomes
• Administering immunisations, including travel, seasonal, and childhood vaccinations
• Providing health education on diet, smoking, lifestyle, and sexual health
• Assisting in maintaining equipment and stock levels
• Handling pathological specimens and ensuring equipment cleanliness
• Supporting health and safety and infection control policies
• Promoting equality, diversity, and patient rights
• Engaging in professional development and acting as a role model
