As Assistant Branch Manager, you will support the Branch Manager in managing day-to-day operations, coordinating teams and logistics, and ensuring high-quality service for customers. Responsibilities
* Support branch operations, including scheduling crews, allocating vehicles, and overseeing removals and storage tasks.
* Handle customer enquiries, resolve escalations, and ensure smooth invoicing and billing processes.
* Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, transport rules, and internal procedures.
* Assist with staff coaching, mentoring, and performance tracking to build a strong, reliable team.
* Help monitor branch performance, including efficiency, cost control, and service quality.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years experience in removals, logistics, or transport operations.
* Previous supervisory or assistant management experience preferred.
* Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of vehicle and crew scheduling, storage management, and logistics planning.
* Competent in Microsoft Office and logistics software (TMS, CRM, or similar).
* Full UK driving licence; commercial licence is advantageous.
