Assistant Buyer – Household Overview
We are working with a hugely successful business who are keen to recruit an Assistant Buyer across their Homeware Buying team
The Assistant Buyer will build and develop exciting new product ranges and be detail-focused, with excellent commercial awareness, and the ability to build practical experience in sourcing, supplier relations, negotiation, and range planning while working alongside experienced professionals.
Assistant Buyer – Homeware responsibilities
1. Assist in developing new product ranges for major catalogue launches
2. Source and manage direct dispatch products, identifying innovative opportunities to meet seasonal targets
3. Analyse weekly sales performance and produce reports to support decision-making
4. Organise and track product samples, liaising with the photography studio
5. Create briefs for creative and publication teams
6. Support catalogue production and maintain accurate product listings
7. Ensure all product and merchandising data is up to date
8. Keep track of competitor activity and emerging market trends
9. Work collaboratively with Merchandising, E-commerce, and Marketing teams
10. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including handling pricing discussions and sample coordination
11. Help ensure key deadlines are met across launches and catalogue schedules
Additional Information
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Buyer will have previous experience in product sourcing and range development and be highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage timelines.
This is a hybrid working role and will be in the office Tuesday-Thursday.
