This is a hybrid position, combining the best of both worlds - working from home and spending time in our Halifax Office

What are the core responsibilities?
* Support the delivery of the motor strategy by managing and evolving underwriting risk appetite.
* Identify emerging risks and collaborate on underwriting solutions to address opportunities and threats.
* Analyse portfolio profitability and take action to ensure performance meets or exceeds the target COR.
* Oversee and optimise the motor underwriting footprint in line with strategic goals.
* Evaluate deals and performance areas, making underwriting decisions that align with risk appetite and return requirements.
* Collaborate effectively with technical teams such as Pricing, Trading, and Claims to support informed decision-making.

* Technical Expertise & Qualifications: Possess advanced knowledge of UK motor insurance and underwriting, with FCII or ACII qualifications and A-Level education or equivalent.
