A snapshot of your day

As a Stores Operative at Siemens Gamesa, your day will involve supporting the storage and logistics requirements of the Grimsby Wind Farm in North Lincolnshire. You will be responsible for accurately recording and controlling stock movements, packing tools and parts, and ensuring compliance with export, import, and dangerous goods documentation. Your role will require flexibility to adapt to changing plans while maintaining the highest safety standards and providing crucial information to your Line Manager to ensure effective stock management.

How you’ll make an impact


* Order, receive, pick, pack, issue, and dispatch inventory while maintaining fully auditable records in both SAP and paper formats
* Complete export/import and dangerous goods manifests to comply with legislation
* Manage calibrated tools and secure inventory, including safety equipment and tooling
* Oversee LOLER inspections for lifting equipment to ensure compliance and safety.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, adhering to procedures and conducting regular audits.
* Conduct inventory checks and audits to ensure accuracy and team performance.


What you bring

* A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to leading change in the industry.
* Demonstrable experience in stores and material control, ideally within the offshore wind sector.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements.
* Willingness to work shifts at the project location, including weekends, with flexibility to cover holidays and late sails.
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation, IT literacy, particularly in MS Office applications and SAP.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
