Your new role In this role, you will be responsible for covering the KS1 classes. In day-to-day roles, these lessons will be pre-planned, so it is all about making sure they are delivered in an engaging and exciting way to the pupils. You should have good knowledge of phonics in order to help pupils progress under your supervision. If you do secure a short or long-term role, then you will be expected to plan lessons based on pupil ability, so it is important you can come in and hit the ground running in any school.
