* PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP* Support Worker (Days & Nights) Cedar Garden Care Home, Tag Lane, Preston. 22, 33, or 44hour contract- 12hour shifts 8- 8 on a rota basis with every other weekend availability requited. We're dedicated to providing compassionate and person-centred care to each of our residents Take a look at the home: Cedar Garden | Dementia | Nursing | Preston | Lancashire Please note – There is a genuine occupational requirement as to why Male only applicants are needed, as you will be supporting males with very hight dementia. Your Role As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital part in helping individuals achieve their goals and maintain independence. You’ll support with personal care, daily living activities, and engagement in therapeutic routines, using trauma-informed approaches and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). What You’ll Be Doing Deliver compassionate, person-centred care Motivate and support individuals to engage in meaningful activities Promote dignity, choice, and independence Implement care plans and behaviour support strategies Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Uphold accountability through accurate documentation and reflective practice Night roles also include light cleaning duties to support the home What Matters Most We will train you to be the best Support worker you can be. We’re looking for people who are : Calm, dependable, compassionate, and caring Comfortable working independently (especially at night) Team players who support others Genuinely motivated to make a difference Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic care environment Understanding of trauma-informed care and PBS (training provided) Commitment to excellence and continuous learning NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards) What You’ll Get Real Living Wage 4 weekly pay 28 days annual leave (pro rata) Paid DBS Free parking Full induction before your first shift Ongoing training and development Career progression through Dovehaven Training Academy Uniform provided Important Information Day and night shifts available Part-time and full-time contracts Every other weekend required No sponsorship available Enhanced DBS required As part of our recruitment process you will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
