Responsibilities
Your Role as a Chef de Partie - Wok Chef
* Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurant's opening.
* Preparing a particular kitchen station by preparing all necessary mise en place.
* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
* Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods.
* Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
* Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes.
* Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift.
* Assist with meal preparation and ensure all food is cooked in a timely manner.
* Plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment.
Qualifications
Your Experience:
* Previous experience working as a line cook or Chef de Partie - Wok Chef in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred
* Knowledge of Southeast Asian food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Your Skills:
* Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various Southeast Asian cooking methods - stir-fry, steam, braise, grill, fried.
* Skilled with wok and all other kitchen equipment and utensils.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
