Your Role and Responsibilities
As our Process Technology Lead, you will:
* Develop end-to-end expertise in all process technology at our Menstrie manufacturing location.
* Lead the charge in fermentation technology, shaping continuous improvement strategies through your deep expertise.
* Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for fermentation processes, launching projects to drive continuous improvement.
* Manage a team of Process Technologists to maintain and communicate control charts for fermentation KPIs.
* Support optimization initiatives to enhance yield, reduce cycle time, cut costs, and improve safety and product quality.
* Analyze process data statistically and build models to support decision-making.
* Provide expertise in aseptic design and systems to enhance bioburden control.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to translate requirements into actionable plans.
* Mentor and coach junior scientists and technologists.
* Maintain rigorous documentation and contribute to intellectual property capture.
* Adhere to and promote biosafety and quality management standards.
What You Bring to the Table
We’re looking for someone who has:
* A PhD in Biochemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Fermentation Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven industry experience with a strong background in fermentation and biochemical engineering.
* Expertise in yeast fermentation is highly desired.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
* A strong background in data analysis and statistics.
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
