Senior Analyst - GenAI Strategy and Analytics LONDON, LONDON, United Kingdom BRIGHTON, EAST SUSSEX, United Kingdom (Hybrid) Job Description Our team's mission is to shape and support execution of the Generative AI (GenAI) strategy for the Global Servicing (GS) at American Express, accelerating both existing and emerging use cases to transform colleague and Cardmember experiences. The GS Servicing Innovation team focuses on: Supporting the development and execution of GenAI strategy & priorities through rapid testing and learning Enabling and scaling GenAI pilot programs via structured analysis, coordination, and centralized support Translating pilot learnings into actionable recommendations and scalable rollout plans Ensuring responsible and compliant use of GenAI through strong risk and governance partnerships This role supports the development of strategic, data-driven recommendations that advance GS's GenAI agenda. The Senior Analyst will contribute across strategy, analytics and program management, helping translate insights into action while working closely with cross-functional partners. Responsibilities Support the scoping and prioritization of GenAI pilots by applying structured thinking, analysing prior learnings, and identifying opportunities for expansion Conduct analysis on GenAI pilot performance, including key metrics, trends, and value realization, translating findings into clear insights Develop and maintain financial models and business cases to estimate impact and support decision-making Contribute to strategic problem solving by breaking down complex problems, synthesizing inputs, and forming well-supported recommendations Support execution of GenAI pilots bybringing structure to program management, including tracking milestones, risks, and dependencies, driving status transparency, and helping ensure deliverables are completed on time Prepare clear, concise materials (e.g., presentations, insight packs, and program updates) to communicate strategy, progress, and results to stakeholders Collaborate effectively with Product, Technology, Risk, and Operations partners to support alignment and progress across initiatives Monitor external GenAI and innovation trends, bringing relevant ideas and perspectives into team discussions and outputs Identify risks, challenges, and improvement opportunities, escalating appropriately and contributing to solution development Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) Experience in an analytical, strategy, or consulting-oriented role Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Experience synthesizing data into insights and presenting findings to stakeholders Ability to manage multiple workstreams with attention to detail and deadlines Must Haves Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to structure ambiguous problems and develop clear, logical approaches Proven analytical capability, including experience working with data to generate insights and inform decisions Ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including experience creating structured presentations for stakeholders Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build strong working relationships Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, with ability to prioritize and deliver Demonstrated interest and exposure to Generative AI and emerging technologies, with ability to connect concepts to business use cases What Success Looks Like Delivers high-quality, structured analysis and outputs that support decision-making Contributes meaningfully to strategy through insight generation and synthesis Executes reliably across multiple priorities with strong attention to detail Communicates clearly and effectively across a range of stakeholders Builds knowledge and demonstrates curiosity in GenAI and servicing innovation Non-considerations for sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the UK is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
