Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a fast paced growing business near Okehampton.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of accounting projects and supporting with monthly duties:
* Project work including fixed asset project, capital expenditure projects, systems and process improvements.
* Supporting monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
* Balance sheet reconciliations and income reconciliations.
* Investigating and resolving accounts discrepancies.
* Posting accounting journals and maintaining supporting schedules
* Assisting with management of cashflow, budget/forecast analysis and sales analysis.
* Supporting with group reporting requirements.
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000pa + great benefits and progression
Location: On site role with parking
Hours: Full time, Mon - Fri, 8:30am – 5pm, some flexibility on start and finish.
Start Date: ASAP
Please note employment will be offered on a 12month contract initially with strong potential for the role to become permanent.
Assistant Accountant - The Person:
* The successful candidate will have a proactive, friendly personality and enjoy being in a busy, varied role.
* Recent accounts experience including undertaking project based work and management accounting is essential.
* You will need to be organised and able to work using your own initiative.
* A desire to learn and grow your accounts knowledge and skills.
* IT skills including Excel (formulas, look ups etc), knowledge of Sage 200 is a bonus!
