A leading jewellery retailer who has a significant presence across the UK are looking for a Deputy Store Manager to lead the daily operations of the store. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, delivering exceptional customer service, managing/developing the team, and ensuring the store operates efficiently while maintaining the highest presentation standards. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee all day-to-day store operations and ensure smooth running of the business - Drive sales performance and achieve store targets and KPIs - Deliver exceptional customer service and create a luxury shopping experience - Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to maximise performance - Recruit, train, and manage staff schedules and performance reviews - Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business - Ensure high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation - Manage stock control, inventory checks, and loss prevention procedures - Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and after-sales service professionally - Monitor store budgets, cash handling, banking, and reporting procedures - Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures, and health & safety regulations - Analyse sales reports and implement strategies to improve store performance Requirements: - Previous experience as a Store Manager or senior retail manager - Strong leadership and team management skills - Proven track record of achieving sales targets - Excellent communication and customer service abilities - Strong organisational and problem-solving skills - Professional appearance and presentation - Experience with retail systems, stock management, and reporting - Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and peak trading periods - Desired Skills - Knowledge of jewellery, gemstones, watches, and luxury products - Experience in high-end retail environments - Strong commercial awareness and business acumen - Ability to develop long-term customer relationships - Attention to detail and strong operational management skills The salary is paying up to £28,000 accompanied by an annual target related bonus & staff discounts.
