We have a new role available within our IT Department.
As Application Support Analyst you will support the IT Business Partner and wider IT team in working with departments across the organisation to ensure effective operation and continuous improvement of business applications and processes. This includes assisting with application support, identifying solutions, managing application-related risks, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
An overview of the role responsibilities are detailed below:
1. Provide 1st and 2nd line support for applications.
2. Troubleshoot software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions or escalate to relevant teams/vendors.
3. Monitor application performance and support daily operations.
4. Manage user access rights, configuration settings, and system updates.
5. Document common issues, solutions, and procedures in knowledge base.
6. Liaise with vendors and third-party support providers for advanced troubleshooting and upgrades.
7. Assist in application testing, deployment, and patching processes.
8. Provide end-user training and guidance on application usage.
9. Participate in project work, including software rollouts and system integrations.
10. Utilise Microsoft 365 platform for business process improvements and digitalisation opportunities
11. Use reporting and query tools to extract data from applications as the business requires.
Candidates should have experience working in an IT support or application support environment, ideally within a fast-paced or manufacturing setting.
Hands on experience is preferred delivering IT services, support business applications and resolving technical issues.
Excellent communication is key with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
Applicants should have the skills to problem solve, be analytical with a methodical approach to deal with troubleshooting.
