Job Description
The Senior Production Planner will play a key role within a fast-paced electro-mechanical manufacturing and assembly environment. As a Senior Production Planner, you will be responsible for leading and executing production planning activities, ensuring robust schedules, optimal material availability, and efficient use of resources to meet customer demand.
The Senior Production Planner will develop and maintain detailed production schedules, manage MPS/MRP plans within SAP, and work closely with procurement to ensure materials are available to support production requirements.
A strong electro-mechanical manufacturing focus is essential for this Senior Production Planner role, as you will be planning within a complex environment that integrates electrical and mechanical components. You will analyse production capacity, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to maintain stable production flow.
The Senior Production Planner will also monitor inventory levels, support operational excellence initiatives, and analyse performance data such as schedule adherence, OTIF performance, and capacity utilisation to drive continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Senior Production Planner or similar production planning role
* Strong experience within electro-mechanical manufacturing environments
* Solid understanding of planning principles including MRP, MPS, capacity planning, and inventory control
* Experience using SAP (ideally S/4HANA) for production planning and scheduling
* Advanced Excel and strong data analysis capability
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
