Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team at [Company Name], providing high-quality care and support to individuals in domiciliary care homes or supported living settings. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering our clients to live independently, achieve their goals, and enhance their quality of life.


Key Responsibilities

* Personal Care:
o Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and other daily care needs.
o Support with mobility and use of aids or adaptations as required.
* Daily Living Activities:
o Provide assistance with meal preparation, household tasks, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
o Help with shopping, budgeting, and managing household supplies.
* Medication Support:
o Administer or prompt clients to take prescribed medications in line with their care plan.
o Record medication administration accurately.
* Social and Emotional Support:
o Build positive relationships with clients and foster an atmosphere of trust and respect.
o Encourage clients to engage in social, recreational, or community activities.
o Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve well-being.
* Health and Safety:
o Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior to the appropriate professionals.
o Ensure the safety of clients by following all safeguarding procedures and risk assessments.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including care plans, logs, and incident reports.
* Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies at all times.


Key Skills and Attributes

* A caring and empathetic nature with a passion for helping others.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Patience and resilience, particularly in challenging situations.


Qualifications and Requirements

* Experience in a care or support role (preferred but not essential as full training is provided).
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
* Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, and health and safety procedures.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
* Full UK Driving License (preferred, but not mandatory for all roles).
