The vacancy is a power systems design engineer working within the Sellafield Infrastructure Strategic Alliance CE&I design team. The work will be directly linked to the Sellafield Electrical Distribution Network Upgrade Project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and updating the projects working ETAP model, production of fault calculations, protection reports and arc flash risk assessments. The candidate will provide power and protection specialism support to the wider design team. The candidate will contribute to the updating of Sellafield’s engineering standards and best practice.
Essential Skills:
• Working knowledge of BS EN 60909 Fault Calculations
• Working knowledge of ETAP modelling software
• Experience with Protection and control systems (11kV & 400V)
• Experience of 11kV & 400V substation design
Desirable Skills:
• Experience of Sellafield Design Processes
• Experience with other CAD tools namely Trimble, ERACs and Digsilent
• Experience with IEC61850 and power system SCADAs
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership with the relevant discipline
