KONE is currently looking for a Mechanical engineer to join our Escalator Installation team in Keighley with projects nationwide.
Key accountabilities at the role:
* Is responsible for safe, high quality, and timely installation of the equipment following KONE installation methods
* Reports installation progress to the installation supervisor
* Is responsible for receiving, checking and storage of materials
* Keeps the installation tooling safe and in good condition, ensures the security of the delivered equipment, is responsible for the safe working environment
* Submits reports of timekeeping, quality feedback forms and warranty claims for material
* Contributes to the ongoing improvement of the product by feedback to the supply line
* Manages on-site communication with the customer for day to day installation and logistical activities
* Communicates with the builder to prevent interruptions to installation work
* May be required by the supervisor to give training/coaching to trainees and helpers.
To qualify for this vacancy we would expect you to have:
* NVQ3 in mechanical engineering or equivalent
* Strong customer skills
* Excellent health and safety knowledge
* Good written and spoken English
* Clean UK driving licence (we provide Kone van)
