Overview
We are looking to recruit a new Finance Coordinator to join our friendly team. We provide professional Finance support to the Faculty of Human, Social and Political Science, the Department of History and Philosophy of Science and the Department of Land Economy.
Responsibilities
* Provide account management services to the Department.
* Monitor income and expenditure against targets and forecast future financial needs.
* Analyse financial data provided by University and departmental financial systems.
* Management of research grants.
* Monitor and check integrity of data on the University's financial system.
* Instruct departmental staff on University financial procedures.
* Keep a rolling income/expenditure plan.
* Oversee the processing and preparation of invoices.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Have substantial experience in a senior finance management role in a similar environment.
* Have expertise in financial and accounting practice.
* Have competence in the use of Oracle Financials or similar accounting programme.
* Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Finance/ accounting involving a critical understanding of relevant theory and/or principles.
* Have Financial/Accounting AAT (Professional Diploma).
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.

Salary: £33,951 to £39,906 per annum
