Qualifications

1. Professional Accountancy (CCAB) Qualification
2. Evidenced continuous professional development record

Essential criteria
4. Expert, demonstrable knowledge of a wide range of financial accounting and information systems and accounting procedures within the NHS
5. Detailed knowledge and understanding of International Accounting Standards and their application
6. Detailed understanding of the Payment by Results (PbR) tariff system and its application within an NHS Foundation Trus
7. Experience of modelling the financial impact of service pathway redesign
8. Experience of developing income, expenditure and activity forecasts, including the modelling of different scenarios
9. Expert analytical skills to solve highly complex financial and non financial problems including devising and using benchmarking data as a tool to compare and contrast detailed data sets
10. Significant experience of working with Clinical Care Group & Non-Clinical Care Group colleagues
Desirable criteria
11. Experience in the use of E-Financials software packages
12. Experience in the use of PLICS costing software
13. Previous experience of working within an NHS Foundation Trust
14. Experience of using Business Objects
