Town Planner - Consultancy Role | Kent
I'm working with a well-established, independent planning consultancy in Kent that is looking to appoint a Town Planner to support its growing workload across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner who wants real responsibility, client exposure, and the chance to progress within a supportive and professional environment.
The Role
You'll be involved in the full planning process, including:
Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
Undertaking site appraisals and planning research
Providing clear planning advice to clients and project teams
Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and consultants
Supporting senior planners on more complex schemes
The workload is varied and offers genuine scope to broaden your experience.
About You
My client is open to speaking with planners at different stages of their career, but ideally you will have:
A degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related field
An understanding of the UK planning system (private or public sector experience welcome)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, organised approach and confidence dealing with clients
RTPI membership or working towards it (desirable, not essential)
