We are a specialised transportation company within Swindon which undertake Home to school transport for individuals with special educational needs and disabilities for local authorities. The primary responsibility for our employees is to coordinate and oversee the transportation services tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals with special educational needs.
Route Scheduling
· Maintain efficient schedules to ensure timely and safe transportation.
· Coordinate the transportation to the specific route provided.
Safety and Compliance
· Conduct regular safety inspections of the vehicles and implement the corrective actions as needed.
· Conduct regular vehicle cleans, this includes the inside and outside of the vehicle.
· Ensure that you are compliant with the highway code and DVSA regulations.
· Vehicles undertake regular servicing and inspections; you will be contacting on when the vehicle is required to for these.
Documentation and Reporting
· To provide reports of any incidents with individuals on transport.
· Any accidents that you are involved in to be reported directly into the office management, collect and provide any details which are relevant to the accident. Correct documentation paperwork to be completed.
· Vehicle issues to be raised immediately to the office and workshop so defects can be repairs in a timely manner.
Training Schemes
· Before undertaking any work for the company all employees must be processed through the correct training and regulations.
· All employees will have to be processed through to have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS).
· All employees will have to undergo a Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme known as MiDAS, this is to be completed before any work is provided.
Emergency Response:
* Develop and implement emergency response protocols specific to the unique needs of passengers with special educational needs.
* Coordinate with emergency services and school personnel to ensure a swift and effective response in crisis situations.
Adaptations and Accommodations:
* Ensure that vehicles are equipped with necessary adaptations, such as wheelchair lifts or securements, to accommodate passengers with physical disabilities.
* Implement and oversee appropriate safety measures and accommodations for passengers with sensory or behavioural challenges.
