Job Description
We are currently working in partnership with a Social Housing providerbased in West Yorkshire, who are recruiting for a Fire Officer on a temporary three-month contract. The role offers a rate of £350 £400 per day via an umbrella company, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate is a proactive fire safety professional with experience in residential properties, strong expertise in risk assessment and compliance, confidence in delivering training, a basic DBS certificate (or willing to obtain one), and a full UK driving licence.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Conducting regular fire risk assessments across residential properties to identify hazards, assess risks to occupants, and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations
* Carrying out detailed inspections of fire doors, escape routes, and other critical fire safety features to ensure proper maintenance and compliance with current standards
* Reviewing and updating fire safety policies and procedures to align with legislation, guidance, and best practice for social housing
* Providing fire safety training and awareness sessions for tenants, property management staff, and maintenance teams
* Collaborating with contractors and maintenance teams to oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire safety equipment
