Our client, a leading manufacturing client based north of York, are looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Technician to join the business on a permanent basis due to business growth.
The successful candidates will be required to assemble and test Electrical / Electronic components used in sub assemblies and final build.
Candidates will ideally be electrically trained with demonstrable experience in reading Electrical Schematics, panel wiring, soldering, crimping and terminating cabling.
Hours – 37 hours
Monday – Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm (4pm on a Friday)
Any OT worked over 37 hours per week are paid at premium rates
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble electronic/electrical sub assemblies from schematic diagrams, drawings or verbal instructions and following works order instructions to ISO9001 standards
* Wire and solder wiring harness and cable assemblies, PC boards, SMT, transformer assemblies, control consoles, connectors, etc
* Carry out heavy-duty cable wiring, cable assembly, and control system outfitting
* Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies
* Ensures assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100%
* Ensures assembly/sub assembly build times are met for major project schedule into integration dates and tooling/spares WO completion dates
* Complete all necessary documentation according to the requirements, (including timesheets, ECN etc.)
* Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices
* Carry out all assembly work to the required department quality standards
Skills & Qualifications:
* Ideally candidates will be Time Served in an electrical discipline
* 18th Edition qualified(Advantageous).
* A good understanding of electrical/electronic systems essential.
* Technical competence in Low voltage AC/DC panel wiring/looming, High voltage installations, Control/Data systems
* Must be able to read and interpret drawings and sketches
