As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), we are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Design Engineer
to support the building of Sizewell C. This is a monumental project that will see the creation of a 3.2-gigawatt power station, providing clean electricity for around 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
Why this role?
* You'll be leading and managing Enabling & Earthworks project packages and teams, from concept and design to delivery.
* Your work will be instrumental in ensuring plans and designs meet requirements and are code compliant.
* You'll have the opportunity to suggest value engineering and risk reduction ideas, contributing to the success of the project.
* As part of the CWA, you'll be working with top-tier designers like Atkins and COWI, ensuring high-quality, complete packages for our operational teams.
What You'll Bring
* Competent technical knowledge and experience in design.
* Proven ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary/organisation design teams.
* Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
* In-depth understanding of project scheduling, commercial arrangements, and budget control.
* A clear understanding of design and engineering interfaces with construction teams, commissioning teams, supply chain, and third parties.
* A depth of experience in large infrastructure projects. Professional accreditation and/or a sector-specific MSc degree would be advantageous.
