A Construction Delay Analyst Expert job is available based in London with a dynamic and fast-growing claims, quantum, delay, and dispute consultancy.
This is an exciting role for an experienced planning and delay professional with some experience of testifying as a Delay Expert on construction disputes.
The role involves a combination of hands-on expert work, business development, managing teams, and strategic decision-making within the business.
The hiring company offers services to a global client base, meaning that while based in London, UK, you will be involved in both UK and international cases.
Assignments will often be for major international civil engineering and building construction contractors on projects such as roads, tunnels, bridges, oil rigs, high-rise buildings, etc.
Work may also involve the insurance industry, where you will demonstrate whether delays in project startup relate to insured events or are caused by other parties.
Responsibilities and Duties
You will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with them to manage resources and meet growing demand. You will also contribute to the development and growth of the business.
You will be a fee-earning expert on multiple cases, managing a team of junior construction Planners and Delay Analysts to assist with delay analysis.
Desired Skills and Experience
Suitable candidates will:
* Currently work for a specialist construction claims/disputes consultancy as a Delay Analyst or Delay Expert
* Have testified as a Delay Expert on one or more occasions
* Possess a strong project planning background on major projects and be proficient with planning software such as Primavera P6
* Have a network of lawyers and solicitors who can pass them work
* Demonstrate skills in business development, proactively bringing in new clients and maximizing existing opportunities
* Have strong managerial skills to manage cases, delegate work, and mentor junior staff
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
* Member of a relevant engineering or construction professional body
* Ideally, hold a higher qualification in construction law, such as an MSc in Construction Law
