Vitalis are recruiting for an Accommodation Support worker to work in a team in Manchester City Council.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
1. Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environmentwhere young adults feel respected and valued.
2. Build positive, trusting relationshipswith residents, offering guidance and emotional support.
3. Support young people in developing life skillssuch as maintaining a home, understanding rights, maintaining a home, budgeting, and managing appointments.
4. Act as a key worker, ensuring care plans are up to date and tailored to individual needs.
5. Promote independence and community engagement, encouraging participation in education, employment, and social activities.
6. Maintain accurate records and contribute to care reviews and team meetings.
7. Work collaboratively with external professionals and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
8. Be adaptable and resilient in a dynamic environment, responding calmly to challenging situations.
