Job Summary
Are you looking for a Health Visitor role that offers variety, supports a team of practitioners, and provides a clear development path to dual‑qualified SCPHN Nurse, leading to Band 7/8 roles? Working within Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Services, you will be part of a team that values your voice and ideas. The role is commissioned by NHS, Essex County Council, WECCG, HCRG Care Group and Barnardos to provide free services for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver the Healthy Child Programme including assessment of health needs, development, implementation and evaluation of care packages.
* Use the Family Health Needs Assessment tool to plan and evidence care.
* Devise and implement individualized care plans based on needs assessment.
* Identify and assess health, growth and development in children 0‑5 (0‑19 pathway).
* Use the Early Help Assessment Tool when unmet needs are identified.
* Participate in partnership working with other agencies and take a lead professional role where appropriate.
* Apply evidence‑based practice to maintain a high quality, cost‑effective standard for Specialist Public Health Nurse/Health Visiting practice.
* Develop leadership skills through mentorship of pre‑registration and SCPHN students and providing preceptorship to new staff.
Qualifications & Experience
* Specialist Community Public Health Nursing qualification (SCPHN).
* Current NMC registration.
* Experience in leading interventions to improve outcomes and safeguard children and families.
* Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
* Passion for driving positive change and suggesting innovative improvements.
