Role Overview
The Sales Support Executive will play a critical role in supporting the UK sales team by ensuring smooth sales operations, accurate documentation, timely coordination, and high-quality customer engagement. This role acts as a bridge between sales, operations, finance, and customers, enabling the sales team to focus on revenue generation while maintaining a professional and responsive sales process.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Support
* Support the sales team with quotations, proposals, and order processing
* Act as the first point of contact for sales-related customer queries
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
* Assist in managing key accounts and follow-ups
Sales Operations & Coordination
* Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, finance, operations) to ensure timely order fulfilment
* Track order status and communicate updates to customers and sales managers
* Support contract administration, framework agreements, and pricing approvals
* Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate sales data
Reporting & Administration
* Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries
* Track sales pipelines, conversion rates, and outstanding actions
* Support invoicing coordination and basic commercial documentation
* Ensure compliance with internal sales processes and documentation standards
Marketing & Business Support
* Support sales-led marketing activities such as:
* Events
* Product launches
* Customer presentations
* Attending Exhibitions
* Assist in preparing sales presentations and marketing materials
* Coordinate with marketing teams on leads and campaign follow-ups
Skills & Experience
Essential
* 2-4 years of experience in sales support, sales operations, or commercial administration
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Desirable
* Experience supporting B2B sales teams
* Background in energy, technology, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
* Familiarity with order-to-cash processes
* Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams
