Equans Data Centers is seeking to appoint a Project Engineer – Mechanical to support our growing Data Centre business in Newport, South Wales.
We are committed to providing cutting-edge solutions for our clients' Data Centre facilities and are recruiting a Project Engineer – Mechanical to join our innovative team on projects across the UK. The Project Engineer – Mechanical will be responsible for managing the construction aspects of large projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed within set timescales, to high-quality standards, and in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
What you will deliver
1. Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental, and safety standards.
2. Coordinate and control the on-site construction process, ensuring the site build progresses according to plan.
3. Liaise with Statutory and Local Authorities as directed by the Site Manager for the submission of all Building Regulation documentation required for project progress.
4. Attend site meetings, communicate effectively, and provide information for Progress Reports.
5. Chair and minute subcontractor meetings in the absence of the Site or Project Manager.
6. Assist the Site Manager in managing materials.
7. Maintain records such as diaries, drawing registers, H&S and COSHH assessments, as-built drawings, levels & foundations records, and site H&S files.
8. Ensure work is carried out in full compliance with quality, environmental, and safety requirements.

* Experience with main contractors or large subcontractors
* Proven technical knowledge of Mechanical Services
* Effective problem-solving skills

* Commercial awareness
* Experience in data centres (desirable)
* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical discipline (desirable)
