Responsibilities
* Provide care for presenting patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
* Work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet patient needs and ensure compliance with practice policies and procedures.
* Assist the Registered Manager with duties related to CQC outcomes and maintaining compliance.
* Undertake diagnostic, health screening and health promotion at consultation or opportunistically.
* Provide administrative and nursing tasks as necessary within the GP Practice.
* Provide specific evidence-based practical skills in telephone and clinic settings for common conditions (e.g., coughs, colds, sore throats, earache, skin rashes, diarrhoea/vomiting, soft tissue injuries, abdominal pain, urinary issues, emergency contraception).
* Assess, plan, provide and evaluate nursing care for individuals in the practice population; support GPs as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
* UK registered nurse with post-registration experience.
* Nurse qualification with clinical experience in hospital and/or primary care.
* Ability to maintain high standards of care and effective organisational skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively; flexible, motivated, and committed to professional development.
* Good communication skills, IT systems proficiency, and ability to work in changing, demanding environments.
* Commitment to continuing education and keeping abreast of changes in nursing care.
* Must be able to cover annual leave and sickness periods as needed; knowledge of QoF management is preferred but not essential.
Benefits & Details
* Salary: £37,338 per year
* Contract: Permanent
* Working pattern: Full-time or Part-time (minimum 25 hours per week, up to 37.5 hours as FTE, subject to change)
